Sohrab Saadat, born
in the village of Zeinabad, Yazd in 1942 move to Tehran at the age of
eleven. He went to Jamshid-jam school, and graduated from Alborz high
school. He received his BSc in Applied Mathematics, MSc and PhD in
Computer Science. Sohrab accepted a position at Pahlavi University of
Shiraz where he created the department of Computer Science. After the
Islamic revolution (1979) he took a research job at Imperial College,
later at Cheltenham, and currently serving at University of
Gloucestershire. currently he is the dean of graduate program.
Sohrab and wife
Mahnaz have two sons, Atridad and Sassan, both involved in their higher
education.
