Dr. Khosro Khazai was born in Iran in the second half of the 20th century, and did his elementary and junior high school studies in Iran.  He  was 14 years old, when his family sent him to Switzerland to study.  He received his high school and college education in Switzerland,  and continued his research in history and Archaelogy at several universities in Europe.

In 1978, Dr. Khazai received his Doctorate in Arts specializing in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies from the State University of Ghent in Belgium.

Dr. Khazai taught at Pahlavi University in Shiraz, Iran in the year 1978 and returned to Europe after the Islamic revolution that engulfed his motherland.  Since his return to Europe, Khosro was involved with a number of universities in Europe, and has been instrumental in the establishment of the European Center for Zoroastrian Studies in Brussels.
