Bahram Farshidi,
M.D. was born in Kerman, Iran in 1950. He is the youngest of three brothers
and one sister. After finishing primary and secondary education, he attended
Pahlavi University in Shiraz, Iran for a year. Subsequently, he followed in
the footsteps of his uncle, Dr. Mehrban Shahriari, and his older brothers,
Ardeshir and Hooshang, to attend the Tehran university, Medical school.
After completing medical school, Dr. Farshidi entered the military service
for two years and began his residency specializing in otolaryngology soon
afterwards. During the eight year long Iran Iraq war in 1980s, Dr. Farshidi
treated many of the combat injured soldiers in the Kurdistan and Baluchistan
provinces of Iran. In 1980, he married his beloved wife and former
classmate, Elaheh, who was the youngest medical doctor (age 21) to finish
residency in OB/GYN at the age of 25. They have two daughters Arta and Dina.
Arta attends the University of California, Los Angeles on a Regent
Scholarship and is planning to attend Medical school, and Dina who will be
graduating from high school in 2002. Dr. Farshidi and his brothers reside in
Southern California.
