Kourosh Afhami
was born in Tehran, Iran, in the second half of the 20th century and
undertook his initial schooling in that capital city. Afterwards he moved
to Germany, and graduated from the Fachhochschule of Architecture in Trier,
in 1993. As a student, his concentration was on design and planning, town
planning, theory of architecture, as well as the history of Iranian
architecture.
He has worked on numerous competitions and projects in various
architectural firms, including the Offices of Professor Gottfried Böhm in
Cologne and Chapman Taylor in Duesseldorf. He has also been involved in
various architectural publications. In 2001, his life long studies and
interest in the architecture and history of Persepolis led him to the
development of the Persepolis3D project in partnership with Wolfgang
Gambke. |
