The Five Dispositions of the Priests
From Pahlavi Texts, by Dastur Japaspji M. Jamaspasa, p. 129.
- 1.

- 2.
- Discrimination of thoughts, words, and deeds.
- 3.
- Keeping a Dastur (for one's guidance) because a priestly master who is wiser and speaks
very truthfully is versed in the information of the religion, and he teaches more correctly.
- 4th.
- Celebrating the Yasna of the Yazatas with correct words, with (proper) Vâj (or,
utterance), with the text by heart, and with the nirangs (i.e., ritual formulae).
- 5th.
- To be diligent intelligently day and night, fight with one's own fiend, not to depart
from steadfastness in religion for the whole life long, and be diligent in duty.
